MINUTES of the January 18, 2002 Special Meeting - Captain Oral Board Interviews (Non-Public) 1:00 PM - Portsmouth Police Department, William D. Mortimer Conference Room

Call To Order: The Chairman called the January 18, 2002 special meeting to order at 1:00 PM The purpose of this meeting was to conduct non-public oral board interviews for the rank of Captain. (One cassette tape is on file for reference).

Present: Commissioners Kelley, Devine, and Howe, Chief Russ, Deputy Chief Magnant and the candidates for Captain: Lt. Robert Carbone, Lt. Janet Champlin, Lt. Timothy Brownell and Lt. Fred Hoysradt.

The interviews were conducted in non-public session and then the Board returned to public session.

Action:
Commissioner Devine moved that the Board promote Lieutenant Robert Carbone to the rank of Captain effective January 18, 2002. Seconded by Commissioner Howe.
On a Roll Call Vote: the Board unanimously voted in favor of the motion.
Action:
Commissioner Devine moved that the Board return to non-public session. Seconded by Commissioner Howe.
On a Roll Call Vote: the Board unanimously voted in favor of the motion at 3:31PM.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 4:20 PM.
