- CITY COUNCIL REFERRALS/REQUESTS

A. Request of 1950LLC to rezone property off Lang Road from Office Research to Garden Apartment/Mobile Home (This request was tabled from the Board's May 16, 2002, meeting to this meeting.)

VOTED to take the application off the table.

On an 8-0 vote favorably recommended to the City Council the zoning change from Office Research to Garden Apartment/Mobil Home so as to allow for the eventual development of up to 117 mutli-family residential units. The Board attached two amendments to this recommendation. In adopting these, the Board intended to advise the Council of their related concerns in this matter. These amendments are as follows:
- That housing that is affordable for all income groups should be encouraged; and,
 - That the Berry's Brook watershed is a significant natural resource and as such should not be degraded through the development of this site.

It is noted that the Board also recommended an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance addressing vehicular parking within the residential structure. If the Council directs the preparation of draft Ordinances, this one should be included as well.
 - ADJOURNMENT was had at approximately 8:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Barbara B. Driscoll
Acting Secretary for the Planning Board
